Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based 3 bedroom bed and breakfast.   The following statement is a summary of our provision.   If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-arrival

  • There is a bus service for the town and other areas
  • The nearest railway stations are at Exeter and Plymouth with a bus connection to Bude
  • There are several local taxi services that have accessible taxis if required.   We can make a booking for you
  • You can contact us via telephone, text or by email and by our website. Details below.
  • Directions can be found on our web site or by phone

 

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

  • Tresillian is on a quiet residential road only a few minutes walk from the town and beaches
  • On arrival to the property there is a fairly steep driveway with parking for 3 cars.
  • The surface is tarmac.
  • We will always assist guests with their luggage if needed

 

Main Entrance and Reception

  • There are 8 steps to the front door.   The final step is 18cm high.
  • The front porch door is 81cm wide and leads into a small porch to the inner front door which is 81cm wide and enters into the house
  • The door bell is positioned on the inner front door
  • On entry there is a hall which is at the widest point 2.80 by 4.50 metres
  • The flooring is Victorian tiles with rugs

 

Public Areas – General (internal)

  • From the downstairs hall there are 15 stairs leading to the three upstairs bedrooms
  • The stairs are 17cm high, 23cm deep and 83cm wide
  • The covering on the stairs and upstairs landing is short piled wool carpet
  • There is not a public toilet available downstairs

 

Dining Room and Lounge

  • Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor.   There are no steps
  • Special diets catered for by arrangement
  • The height of the communal table has under space of 61cm and the height of the table is 77cm
  • The chairs are open sided
  • Background music during breakfast can be played in the dining room at the guests request
  • The lounge has a leather two seater settee which is 36cm high and a 3 settee settee and chair which are both 42cm high  
  • The floor in the lounge and dining room is wooden floor boards
  • Guests are welcome to watch the freeview TV and DVD

 

Laundry

  • Laundry can be washed and dried by request for a small charge per load
  • Launderette and dry cleaners in the town

 

Shop

  • Shops available in the town including Boots and other chemists
  • Please ask if us for anything you may have forgotten i.e toothbrush, toothpaste.
  • Soaps, shower gel and shampoo available in the rooms

 

Leisure Facilities

  • Not available
  • Swimming pool 1 mile away
  • Squash and tennis courts available in the town
  • Golf Club in the town
  • Surfing hire and tuition is available in the town and can be booked on request

 

Outdoor Facilities

  • Not available
  • Guests are welcome to sit in the garden if they wish

 

Conference and Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment

There are 3 bedrooms that are on the first floor.  2 double rooms with en suite and 1 twin bedded room with a private bathroom.

Front bedroom

  • Door width into bedroom 81cm and opens inwards
  • Door width into en suite 71cm and opens into bedroom
  • There is at least 1.5 metres on either side of the bed
  • Floor space at end of bed to the wall is 1.45metres
  • The king sized bed is 65cm to the mattress
  • Digital television with remote control
  • 2 chairs
  • Dressing table, double wardrobe and chest of drawers
  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • Wool carpet

 

En Suite

  • Corner bath 53cm high
  • Toilet is 41cm high
  • Shower cubicle edge is 20cm high
  • Basin rounded in the front and 81cm high
  • Electric shaver point and lighted mirror

Twin Room

  • Door width into bedroom 81cm and opens inwards
  • Twin beds 63cm to top of mattress
  • Floor space between beds 1.66 metres
  • Floor space from end of bed to wall 1.60 metres

  • Door into bathroom 68cm, opens inwards

  • Double bed 51cm to top of mattress
  • Floor space either side of bed is 1 metre
  • Floor space at end of bed to wall is 1.06metres
  • 2 chest of drawers and a single wardrobe
  • 1 chair
  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • Digital television with remote control
  • Wool carpet

En Suite

  • Door width 71cm, door opens into bedroom
  • Height of step into shower cubicle is 18cm
  • Basin is round ended and height from floor is 80cm
  • The toilet is 40cm high
  • Electric shaver point and light over mirror
  • Vinyl floor covering

Grounds and Gardens

  • There is a large garden with a paved area which guests can use but no handrails available

 

Additional Information

  • Assistance dogs are welcomed by arrangement
  • Small items of medication/food can be stored in our fridge
  • Fire instructions in the room.  Please notify us if you have any special needs and will require assistance to evacuate the premises or have difficulty with hearing.
  • No smoking in the house but this is allowed in the garden or patio.

Ashtray provided

  • Bikes can be kept dry in the shed
  • Mobile phone reception is generally good and the land line can be used on request
  • Wireless internet access available
  • We are happy to transport luggage to the next guest house i.e. for walkers
  • The house is not suitable for dogs or young children
  • We can provide a packed lunch on request for a small charge
  • The owner is a qualified registered nurse and will be pleased to discuss any specific health needs when booking
  • Complimentary therapies are available (reflexology and Indian head massage) from the ITEC qualified owner.   Please ask for details
